Holy Week

To those who live here in the USA we all know that Holy Week is not celebrated by all. It's only the Catholics who put a lot of emphasis to this week but still what they have here is nothing compare in the Philippines. Every Holy Week my thoughts and memories are in the Philippines. After Palm Sunday, the city or hometown starts to get quiet. People are flocking to come home to there respective provinces or hometowns. In my case, we start to go to the church and observe quite moments. On Thursday and Friday until Easter Sunday, it is celebrated by the whole family strictly. The procession, station of the cross, etc is what I  missed. These pictures were taken by my brother with my nieces and nephew in tow.

I am sure most Filipinos miss the way we celebrate Holy Week here in the Phil. In my hometown we do vigil during Sat. night sa simbahan. For sure na-miss nyo ron po ang Binignet...hehe. Beautiful pics of your nieces and nephew!

Yep, I miss holy week sa Pinas ate. Dito kasi more of celebration rather religious activities.

Couple's Corner: Jealousy

So it's another couple's corner meme once again and this time it is all about jealousy. I am thinking of the 8 years that I have known my hubby (2 years of chatting, 1 year engaged, 5 years of marriage) wala namang grabeng nangyari sa amin in terms of jealousy but ONCE and will tell the story later so hang on hehe. I am the kind of person who trust a person without any doubt, even with friends what you see is what you get but if you broke that trust I would never care nor look at you as in talagang wala na. But in marriage pala we can't just say "that's it" or "this is it", we have to listen to one another and trust again and  again and again. It's yellow

Six more weeks and it will be Spring wohooo!! By that time I am kind of busy scratching (like a chicken) trying to find sprouting plants specially tulips and some other early plants and flowers on the ground. This year I am excited to see my dahlias, peonies and hollyhocks blossom once again. Last year I took a shot of my first ever Dahlia and never expected to see a humongous one. The saying "expect the unexpected" is what I  remember when I saw my first Dahlia. This picture is the bud, ain't that huge already. The other day when it starts to warm up (25F that's our warm or heat wave here in MI lol) the snows on top of the roof started to melt, so it formed  long icicles. I so then thought of taking a picture for macro shot. When I saw the result in my camera the light from the window came out yellow, a great entry for MELLOW YELLOW MONDAY !! ^_^
