I saw these flowers inside Singapore Botanical Garden and so loving it. I do not know the name of these flowers and wish somebody could tell me.
Very pretty but likely indigenous to your part of the world, so I can't help. I really like the pink flowers. FYI, Mary is away and Mosaic Monday will resume on May 26.
In my "Tropical Plants" book it is call Caesalpina Pulcherrima. Common names could be "Prider of Barbados, Dwarf Poinciana, or Flower fence. It is a native to West Indies. I saw them when I was in Barbados. I hope this helps.
It's commonly known here in Singapore as the peacock flowers and it is the Caesalpina Pulcherrima as mention by Mary. Lots of them being grown here around the parks and roadside.
The whole day I was out. Yup, as in literally out of our house. Because me and my friends were having a shopping Filipino food mode and lunch after. Thanks to Ms. L for driving us and preparing our lunch because we had a sumptuous lunch as well as a good laugh. Here are the photos that we took.
Six more weeks and it will be Spring wohooo!! By that time I am kind of busy scratching (like a chicken) trying to find sprouting plants specially tulips and some other early plants and flowers on the ground. This year I am excited to see my dahlias, peonies and hollyhocks blossom once again. Last year I took a shot of my first ever Dahlia and never expected to see a humongous one. The saying "expect the unexpected" is what I remember when I saw my first Dahlia. This picture is the bud, ain't that huge already. The other day when it starts to warm up (25F that's our warm or heat wave here in MI lol) the snows on top of the roof started to melt, so it formed long icicles. I so then thought of taking a picture for macro shot. When I saw the result in my camera the light from the window came out yellow, a great entry for MELLOW YELLOW MONDAY !! ^_^
Hubby and I were driving around and this particular barn has a very beautiful story to tell. My hubby told me that his paternal grandmother and grandfather meet here often when they are trashing grain (wheat or oats). I think the love blooms here while both are helping their parents in the fields. I love stories like this because how many people meet in a place were both are working hard. Frankly speaking many young or old now meet each other and claim they fall in love at the bar or disco house or party what ever kind of parties it is. Comparing the two scenarios I like meeting my man while he is working hard I am working hard than meeting a man under the influence of who know what hehe. Oh by the way, I asked hubby just now, "are they riding the buggy before" hubby just laughed and he said " I imagine because that was in the 1900's" oh my it is really a buggy they are riding. ^_^ I again asked hubby "do you think this is the same barn or it's been f...
